Too Many Networks?

Has anyone else noticed the large amount of new networks that are being created? It is making things over complicated for those who want to get partnered. Also all these networks are constantly saying they have high CPM rates, high split in gross profits and promotion?

I know what you mean. In the last few days I've actually seen more than one created, and then at least one of those disbanded. It is crazy. Everyone and their brother are starting a network, but if YouTube, and the advertisers more importantly perhaps, don't recognize you as important, then your network will fail.

I assume if a network disbands you're automatically free from it? It would suck to be chained with a 2 year contract with a network that no longer exists.

I agree that there are a ton of networks starting up recently. I'm one of them. I do have experience in being partnered with various networks (TGN & Machinima) and being in discussions with recruiters from TGS and Curse while partnering my old channel (youtube.com/barbaricmustard). I also have friends and contacts with other networks out there (yeousch, viso, etc..) so I feel I have a solid foundation when it comes to network experience. I've been on the management team at my day job for several years (official title being "director or technical support") so management skills are there too. I also have a leg up in that I was able to leverage several thousand subscribers from my old channel to get the network's hub channel off the ground (25 directors now and 13 partners in less than 2 months!). I feel like I'm not the typical "I'm gonna start a network" kid.[DOUBLEPOST=1374078592,1374078552][/DOUBLEPOST]

I imagine the CMS-holding network.. assuming they're a sub-network, would absorb you.
