So the above appeared recently on my dashboard. YouTube have linked up with Teespring for you to create / sell merch through them.

Has anyone signed up? Are you considering to do it?

I see it as a no brainer really?
 
Congrats! I have been asking for months and they haven't granted me the feature. Even T-Spring emailed me asking why hasn't YouTube given me the feature.

Strange - Viewing your channel / seeing your sub size (And I assume you are in US) I would have thought you would have been in the 1st lot of offerings! Im sure you will get the feature soon.
 
I'd say to do it as long as you can create a worthwhile tee. I don't like seeing creators making tee's as essentially ways to donate and fund themselves. Only see it as a good exchange if you get a worthwhile product that also goes towards supporting a content creator.
 
I had that pop up on my dashboard, too. I started to set it up, but then I had other things to do. I'm not sure what I'd design... I think I could do a lot of stuff with a violin, but my drawing skills leave a lot to be desired...lol :eek:
 
To be honest I am useless with computer design. I could knock something up the old fashioned way with a Pencil and Paper but that doesnt help.
As I have 100k+ subs I have asked Teespring to design me something.
 
Im sure I read that I get one design free but thats not the case. Because I have 100k subs I can connect with one of Teesprings approved designers. Each have their own prices etc.
I found one that looks nice and simple / clean etc and wants $90 to design a logo. Ive never spent that amount before having used Fivver/guys from here but I have decided to pay up and give it a go. Its a shame that you wont get to see it really.
 
Do people have any suggestions of when its worth looking into starting merch? I think i'm still to small really (1.7k, 50k monthly views) but what would be a reasonable point to maybe introduce it?

That's another thing that is ticking me off. I wouldn't be surprised if they discontinue the 'free' offers by the time my channel is granted the feature..
