Tips on doing a gaming reviewed based channel needed

FireshockHD

Gaming review`s fireshock moment
Hi there, a while back I had a old channel called FireshockHD which I stopped doing after a while. This new channel I have made I want to be on reviews of video such Batman, Sonic, Resident evil etc. I have alreay done quite a lot of research and studying over reviewing on video games. But I was wondering if anyone had advice or tips they could offer for this type of channel I want to do ? :)

Thank you :)

First of mate you should probably fix that channel link of yours ;)
here is a official video that the forum admins made for help on that -

Second of I had to do a bit of reviewing in an IT course I am currently doing, here is everything I know that you might want to speak about in a game review -

Visual Style
- world; Backgrounds, Scenery
-Characters, Non playing characters
- Prospective; 2D, 3D, First person, third person; does this work well with the game?
- Is there scrolling
- is the game context sensitive
- Any Full motion videos ? (FMVs)
- HUD
Interaction and Mechanics
- what can the player do?
- How does the player control their avatar/omnipresence?, are these good controls?
- Customization
- Challenges, Awards and Rules (Feedback interface)
The game world and story
- is there a story?
- if there is how good is the story?
- does it work well with the game?
- does the game need a good story?
AI
- How good is the AI?
- Do they work well for their purpose?
- Difficulty
Audio
- variety
- Quality
- does it fit the feel of the game?
- Too much, not enough?
- how realistic are the sounds?
- are the sounds annoying?
- any narration
Conclusion
- Immersive or addictive?
- Final Rating
- overall good points and bad points

(Sorry for any spelling mistakes I just quickly wrote everything I remember from the game review layout I was given)

Thanks man very helpful on both areas :)

With any informational channel you need to make sure that your information is on point. If you say something that isn't quite true, or something that simply is wrong, then you will lose credibility very fast.

So make sure your information is there, and that you are presenting it in a professional fashion =)

Wow! That is a really complete list!I'M glad I came through this thread that is awesome, and also you are awesome for making sharing this. If you don't mind, I'm saving that too. :D

These are really good tips thank you all for your helpful inputs on this topic, I will use your knowledge well ;)

Try to be impartial. Reviewers should not be for a spexific side. In case it would happen, specify that they are your thoughts, and try to look at the matter also on the other side of the screen

Very good tip, every review I am planning to do with covering both good and bad sides to it. Even if it is a game that I remembered to be horrible one such Batman Dark Tomorrow. But thanks for the tip :)
