Tips for ranting videos?

I think to make a good rant (I watch quite a few) you have to have something meaningful to say. Try not to say what everyone else is saying and bring up your own points about the topic. I would suggest to rant about something you're actually passionate about, and that will show through. I don't like when people are mean....so try not to be mean

I've never done one but I guess, rant something your actually passionate about and have a good general knowledge, make a list of points you'll rant about and finally conclude it at the end?

Like Katherinejane, I don't care for meanie-heads. THAT SAID, I have to point out that ke7chum is on the money here. A lot of ranters are actually just trolls themselves, looking to stir up controversy. Whether your audience loves you or loves to hate you, you're still getting views. Double points if you manage to troll the trolls.

this seems counterproductive because a rant video is all about letting the anger overtake you, but i would write up a script, because you want to be coherent and if you do a rant in one take, you could miss out on golden opportunities for jokes about the subject. and then you'll have a good base for recording and any improv would be even better

If you really feel passionate and are interested in the rant topic. the rant should just come out of you . Maybe it requires some editing later to get rid of rambling, but I would advise against scripting a rant.
