Whatever, I'm Getting Cheese Fries
How did you guys learn do create thunbnails for your videos, banners, and backgrounds? Do you use photoshop or other programs? I want to learn to do these things, but have never really used photoshop.

P.S sorry if this question is in the wrong area.

I use Gimp. It's like photoshop but the free version, you can do quite a lot of things, thumbnails are pretty easy to make if you're looking to make something simple

I use Photoshop and tbh, I'm not great at making banners and stuff but I can tell that I'm gradually improving. Just start by looking at basic tutorials on YT so you have something to start with and then just build up with the level of difficulty and detail. Soon you'll become a master GFX artist! :D

I'm not trying to be cheeky but can someone please create a tutorial on how to make a clean background, avatar etc. Because Im really bad with Photoshop:O_o2:

Thats what I was going to say, if you have a computer with a windows os on it I would also say check out Photofiltre, it's free and you can do a lot of stuff similar to photoshop just on a more beginner scale.
I would only recommend GIMP if you have a Mac, because there are no free editors other than that. It can be kinda tricky to use though.

I use Photoshop CS6 and Maxon Cinema 4d
The way I learnt was by starting with after effects, wanting to be a special effects designer, then moved onto photoshop, learning from a variety of people, you should check out Evan Eckard, hes good :D

for the old youtube banner i used microsoft word for my banner creation and then image map tool to make it clickable it was kind of bad lol i was just learning and now i use adobe photoshop cs6 for making my thumbnails and channel banner and i wouldn't mind finding/searching for good software that can do the same and preferably i hope it's free of charge. Don't call me cheap:p

thank you for the advise
