Titles in your thumbnail are as important as the Title on the cover of a book. What's that you say? people can just read the title of the video itself over the thumbnail?? Well people can also read the tiny title on the spine of the book instead, but they don't because it's not what catches their attention!
The font you use for the title itself is one of the main keys, choose one that is bold and easy to read yet stylish. These are hard to come across at times either too thin, too plain, or just darn hard to be able to see a T past all of those curves, swerves, and leaf looking things! Now how do you enhance the readability & make it look nicer? Add a Stroke! that is a nice addition to any title either crisp and thin or thick and juicy it will make it do wonders! The color of it must either compliment the background or contrast to the point it is nice and popping! If you want to add more texture go ahead with a shine, gradient, satin, anything at all!
