I've Got It
Hey Guys, here is a thumbnail guide you may enjoy!

So guys I thought you guys might appreciate looking at some of my thumbnails and what I have learnt throughout that time! I can't really be bothered to write this all out and im sure you are just looking for tips so going to keep it short! I don't use all these tricks but you should defiantly take them into consideration.

Follow this List
1. Use bright colors where possible
2. Humans are naturally attracted to faces and eyes, especially females.
3. Use catching keywords that arn't used in your text title.
4. Keep your Style Consistant
5. Use something recognizable and not too busy or the brain will register it as noise and ignore it.
6. Use strong emotions within the images. (Fear, Anger, Love)
7. Use drop shadows and outlines to define text or certain layers within the images.
8. Consistency.
7.Avoid placing anything important in the lower right hand corner, it gets covered by "Watch Later" button.

Well this might not have helped but I hope it did.

Here are some of my examples, the most recent are at the top with the oldest being towards the bottom. You can see the evolution of my design throughout them.

All those thumbnails are nice and concise but I'm in the Let's Play niche and yeah their thumbnails need to be pretty creative to compete

Your thumbnails look awesome. Kudos! Same as iMSaiyan I am more in the gaming and Lets Play niche and there creativity is just as important. Although I still find myself just capturing a screenshot from an in-game clip and then I try to edit that into a nice thumbnail. Any views on that practice? Does it work or are there better ways to go about creating a thumbnail?
