I thought it would be cool if we had a place for people to post their favorite video thumbnail pictures! Post your own personal favorites that you've made for your videos. You can also post screenshots of other channel's thumbnails that you think are cool. Maybe if we see enough examples of great thumbails, we'll all learn something about what makes a great thumbnail, or at least have some interesting debates on the subject!

I kinda like the thumbnail for my new video, although it's really simple in comparison to other thumbnails that I see.

I'm not saying this is the best thumbnail in the world, but I'm proud of the photoshop work I did. Jillian's (the girl on the right) head is actually from another picture, in the original photo she was looking down but I thought this expression was cuter. You have to really look closely to see I've photoshopped in a new expression! So if you don't get the ideal photo, you can sometimes construct one by combining two!

I've been trying a new style of thumbnails lately which I really like. And my viewers seem to really like them too . The one below is one of my favourites (it's not up yet, I'm only uploading it on Sunday).

This thumbnail proved very successful for me.

The above video was a follow-up video for the one shown below.

The top video has 2.6 MM views. The bottom one, 200K. A decisive victory.

I would have never known that you did some photoshop work to that image! Nice job!

I should add some sort of branding but typically, I just stage my shots or grab a screenshot if I forget. I think that this one should do well:

I tend to either take a proper picture taking into account the branding position and the play button etc but most of the time I use the screenshot function in Vegas a lot of the time I don't like going into light room to process the images from the DSLR when a perfectly adequate thumb can be taken from the video. I like how you swapped the heads Bob I wouldn't have known. I tend to notice triangles in my thumbnails, they tend to perform the best.
