Hi,
I've been in talks with an MCN and have decided to partner with them. I've signed the contract and everything is, or was, good to go. That was until they tried to add me to their network. When they did so, they received the following message: This user is already assigned to another inactive content owner: TotalEclipse08 (that's my YouTube username).
After spending a few hours doing some proper research, I still couldn't really find a definitive solution to my problem.
Some useful information:
I've had my YouTube account since 2008
I've never partnered with a network before or had my channel monetized
I've never (as far as I'm aware) been involved with anything to do with AdSense
My account is in good standing and I have no bad history related to copyright issues
I found a similar thread on this website, which is why I've signed up and decided to make my own. The "solution" in that thread was to add the network representative as a manager to the account (I think I do this via Google+ settings?) and have them enable monetization by swapping out the AdSense link or something. While I've had my YouTube account for a while I'm pretty new to this side of it, so forgive me if I've missed something obvious.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'd be more than happy to give any more details that are needed upon request.
Thanks,
Total
