Third party matched? Oh God! Please help!

Damn it, I used this: archive.org/details/LibertyBellMarch in a video, and I went to Video Manager a minute ago, and ALL the monetize icons had disappeared. I noticed a "third party matched" notice next to the video in question, and when I clicked it, I got a 500 internal service error. The link that I just gave CLEARLY says "creative commons license", and Wikipedia says that it is public domain and that's why Monty Python used it.

I can't deal with another strike or loss of monetization. This is reeeaaaally bad. Why am I getting the service error when I click that? My channel loads, but the notice where I can appeal has the error as well as the features page. I'm reeaally nervous because I was just unbanned less then 12 hours ago.

Should I even bother appealing it? Is the monetize icon missing because of a glitch? I'm freaking out, bad.

update: Just now when I refreshed it, the icons had reappeared on all but the two newest, and the second newest asked me to provide proof that it was mine to monetize (gray dollar sign icon). The second newest video didn't have any music or anything in it, but it did have movie and TV references. I did the "DING DONG!" bit from Freddy Got Fingered, said "I love it when a plan comes together" with a cigar in my mouth like on A-Team, and I did an impression of Rick from Rick and Morty saying his catchphrase. Could that have been the problem? Then I clicked to provide proof and got the 500 internal server error again, and went back to the video manager and all the damn monetize icons were missing again.

Damn my luck.

Have you already tried a different browser? Some issues really depend on the one you use.

well first off calm down lol, first the 500 internal error is nothing new and constantly happens on youtube randomly, second off a third party claim is not that bad, if you have the rights to use the music then just appeal it if not then you wont make money off the video and rev. will go to the person that is claiming to own it.

Okay, thank you, it came up with Opera, I guess Firefox is screwy tonight. That calmed me a bit, but I'm still worried about this.

Should I dispute? That website specifically said "creative commons" and Wikipedia said public domain. Should I bother with the appeal, or will I get a strike if I lose somehow?

Also, why is the other one needing proof of commercial rights and how do I provide it? Is it because of the movie and TV quotes?

Oh, okay, thanks. I really hope I win this one as well since I had this issue with another video. I'd HATE to have my revenue go elsewhere since I was especially proud of this video and was gonna use that music in the future.

Be very careful with music on YouTube. The problem is that any website can upload any kind of music and put any kind of license next to it. One problem I noticed in archive.org/details/LibertyBellMarch is that they do not show who performs this music. In general it doesn't look very trustful reference to me and I have now idea how trustful it will look to the YouTube staff who checks it once you dispute the claim. So if I was you I would remove the music.
I think YouTube music library is reach enough by now and you can find almost any muisc you need. Avoid as much as possible other "creative commons license" websites (apart from incompetech dot com may be).

@chottom is very right. You can dispute the claim giving that website URL but a problem could probably be that they don't state the artist who actually performs this recording. Note that the scores are surely in the public domain but each recording has it's own copyright.

Creative Commons licenses usually allow you to use their content UNTIL you start monetizing it. Then you get into hot water. That might be your problem right there.

Probably too late to edit this and I see you have already quoted the original reply, but after looking further at your channel I can see why you are concerned about your receiving another strike against your account. I will no longer participate in this thread.

Her you go.....
U.S. Army Field Band performing "Liberty Bell March."

armyfieldband.com/media/music/downloads/TheLibertyBell%20March.mp3

Because the the group performing the piece is an entity of the U.S. government, and because the recording was also produced by the U.S. Government, the sound recording is in the public domain.

You can scroll to the bottom of the website for the public domain claim here:

armyfieldband.com/pages/listening/downloads.html

Extra Credit: According to Wikipedia, Monty Python chose it as the theme "because it was in the public domain and free from royalties, as there was no budget for theme music copyrights....."
Tempo seems a bit more on that. So I should delete the video and redo it with that track? Will that seem suspicious?
