Third Party Content Claim - Base79 Music

This morning I received a notification that my video: 2 liter, no burp challenge matched a song owned by Base79 Music called ""Pumva-Ven conmigo - YouTube.MP4" at the 1 minute mark. All I have at the 1 minute mark is my into with no music and which I have the rights for. I never heard of "Pumva-Ven conmigo - YouTube.MP4". I looked it up and it's some type of latin song.

I disputed the claim and about 10 minutes later, Base79 Music reinstated the claim again saying that I used their song. I disputed once more, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Has anyone else run into this?

Don't want to have to defend myself if they try to sue me, this is so silly.

It's probably because the sound effects you use for your intro sounds similar to the first 6 seconds of that song that you were matched for. Where did you get the sound effects for your intro? As long as you have that information and you have the rights to use it, you should be good.

Hey Chuck, I checked out your video and yeah, there's no music there so looks like someone is trying to scam you to get a share of the monetization?

my father ran into the same problem a person wanted his channel name and so they formed content claims and then contacted him and told him he wanted his name they offered him some money for it eventually he just didn't want to deal with it so he deleted his account he was a partner back in 06 he had a sizable following

most likely the copyright claimers want one of 2 things

1)they don't like you and are attacking
2) they want something from you and are trying to blackmail you
or they're making a mistake but from what i hear they are persistent

you could be at risk to lose your channel if you continue to fight this so i recommend telling any followers you have to keep up with you on external social medias
this is something that's been disputed by the total biscuit fiasco awhile ago about the ease of which a false copyright claim can be formed it's a good idea to reach out to other creators and formations to help you figure this out and keep your content and channel safe that's all i know i hope i helped

I did a quick google search, they are a network apparently. It just sounds like they're trying to make money off your video. I unfortunately can't help any further with what to do but maybe do some more googling. seems you're not the only person to have problems with them. Looks like there's a few more too.

Yeah, it's possible they are trying to do that, especially since I disputed and they reviewed, then reinstated...unless they just reinstated without even really reviewing.

That's very well possible as well. If that's the case, I should be fine since I have all the info needed to support my rights to use the sound effect.

I'm not sure what it is, but they have no case so I'm going to fight it. Can't see them winning. If they do, we are all doomed lol

That's a good point, didn't think about number 1. I get a lot of networks asking me to join all the time, had one last week and another one a few weeks ago. I didn't like what they offered me, so I turned them both down. It could be that one took it personally and decided to have another network come after me. But that's just speculation, who knows.

I know, it's possible I could get an unfair strike over this. Worse, lose my channel if I get multiple. Have to wait and see what happens. If I don't dispute it, it might encourage the network to go after more videos.

ContentID doesnt' have to be for songs. It could well be sound effects. Do you have the commercial rights to any sound effects you used?

I need I do....[DOUBLEPOST=1382977430,1382972277][/DOUBLEPOST]Good news. I send a direct email to the legal department for Base79 Music, they reviewed, apologized, then released their claim. They told me the match was accidental with the automated software they use.

Only issue is that the video is no longer monetized, so it's back under review again. But at least they released their claim.
