Thinking of making the switch to Adobe Premiere.

Is there a certain place where i can find decent tutorials for it, not including youtube.

Honestly, whenever I have an idea that I want to create through Premiere, I just google it and more than likely you'll find a solid answer. Not saying that there's no use in getting good tutorials to learn solid fundamentals, but if you need to perform specific actions, google is the way to go.

I learned it by just playing around with it. But what really helped me the most in learning video editing was going to videocopilot dot net. The guy who runs it is the person who has done visual effects for the new star trek movies and the force awakens. He teaches after effects and a lot of the principals he teaches transfer over to premiere because they're kinda sister programs. But I would highly recommend checking out his tutorials, he's someone who makes learning about video editing interesting.

When i first started looking at video editing software I tried learning premiere pro. I've ended up falling into the hands of sony vegas though haha. I personally found it to be much more user friendly and easier to learn and adapt to. I'd have no idea what the differences between the two programs are though.

i used to watch that guy for after effects tuts. hes the man but the issue is, most of the FXs he uses cost a decent amount of money.

When I first Used Premier It literally took me 6-8 Hours to post my first Video. I'm not even kidding. It was'nt even alot of editing either but just learning basics took me a while. Keep in mind aside from movie maker its my first editing program i used. But it really is'nt too difficult. you slowly progress and get the hang of it. I'm still learning and even google new things when i get ideas. Of course it also depends on How in depth you plan on going. Everything takes practice. When i started i couldn't really find anything because i didn't know where to begin. but adobe tutorials on there own website ^-^ ofc... there prolly boring as hell xD adobe .co m/prem iere-pro/ tutorials.html

If you have experience with Sony Vegas, it's basically the same type of interface. Final Cut is semi-similar as well. If you want to spend the money, Linda.com has wicked tutorials. I learned the basics of After Effects and Final Cut using their tutorials (but I got access to the website for free from work) :p I'm sure there's loads of free tutorials on YouTube or Google if you're willing to take the time to search them out.
