Thinking of Going it Alone

Singing

I've Got It
I'm thinking more and more reading here on YTtalk it's better to go it alone with any channel. I mean I'll handle all the branding, licensing, payment, etc. It's pretty easy to setup a business but it is a lot of work. I'll still work on promotion with others and things like that, just I don't want to sign anything that gets me locked into something.

Wondering if other people have gone it alone with their channels? Has it worked out for you?

Oh yeah, it seems to be recommended that you avoid networks for a while until your channel is much larger. There's no real benefit at this early stage that outweighs the cons of signing with one. That's just my own personal opinion though, based on the response from people that did sign with networks (and later left).

I'm not uploading videos consistently. We only have a few videos that people seem to be interested in but maybe that is all you need?

i applied to makergen, on the premise that as a small channel, the music library they have, and forum, also the tools on the dashboard are quite useful.

If you are getting a lot of views and feel that you need more help, than going with a network totally makes sense. For the vast majority of small channels with Adsense earnings so low and the MCNs taking a cut I just don't think it makes sense.

Anyone want to argue with this?

Please explain how this makes sense, and what do you call a lot of views ?
