Just a sk8r gurl (or a gamer dude)
So I have been doing practically just let's plays for a while, however I have come to that point where I fiddled with the idea of doing more montages. The reason being I feel like my content right now isn't too enjoyable. Now this could just be me really starting to not enjoy let's plays as much but idk. The plan would still have me have 2 lets plays (being the GTA Series and Alan Wake American Nightmare) but the rest would all be in montage form. Let me know what you think!

By montages, do you mean moments from Let's Plays or the kind of montages that most Call of Duty users make?

You should do both, you can do let's plays of games and you can make a montage video out of the funny moments.

This is pretty much what I do. At least if I'm doing a letsplay I plan to make a short montage of it. I recently started moving my letsplays to twitch, not sure if it's effective yet. It's really fun though when my subs stop by and I have a conversation with them. Then I just export it to youtube and put the 1hr+ video as unlisted because I don't really want people to watch that. I then take a couple sessions and make a short montage of it and I publish that officially. I link the unlisted letsplay on it so if they REALLY want to watch 4 hours of unedited letsplay they can lol, but I really rather them stop by the stream and have fun.

Tip: Stream your twitch livestream on to you youtube live event to get extra traffic.

Moments from let's plays... hard to do COD montages on The Sims 4 xD

Personally, I stopped doing Single Player Let's Plays on popular games.
I basically phased it out, over time. For me, the watchtime I was getting was not great at all.
Once I started cutting out the dull parts, I started to get more views and more watchtime (the videos became shorter, which means that people were more likely to watch the whole thing).

It's up to you, but I think make your LP's shorter, and make some more montages.

I've almost cut let's plays out as a whole, only doing games that I want to play and cutting out any tedious combat/travel/platforming that most people couldn't care less about.
