Things to Record with a Drone

Life of Brendan

Loving YTtalk
I recently bought a Drone to mess around with and had some fun filming the Dallas skyline when I visited there. Now I'm home and am wondering if anyone has found anything particularly cool/interesting to record?

Moved to the scripts / ideas / planning forum. :)

How about things like lakes, forests, areas of natural beauty? Watch the film / read the book called "Vu du ciel" ("Earth from above" in English) for inspiration. Here are some google images:

That's a good idea, nature can be very picturesque. I also just thought of possibly doing main lines of traffic and speeding up the footage. I think that could be cool

A YTer named OldNotDead has done abandoned buildings. I thought that was a good video.

I also thought too if you asked people - mainly with large properties / businesses, maybe they would want you to take some footage of their property.

I think with drones it's kind of like taking photos. Try to find views you can't capture without a drone. I've been lately doing a lot of "from above" shots, which is just tilt the camera to face the ground and then film straight from above. Lots of things look really cool that way (like bridges, ice, nature in general). Another thing I love is finding layers and doing sideways moves to achieve like the "parallax layers" thingy or whatever it's called when the layers move at different speeds.
