Around half a year ago, I logged onto Youtube one morning not expecting anything particularly special or alarming. I didn't at first site. Instinct-fully as I pretty much do everyday I am on the computer, I go to check my e-mail. It is from Youtube. Initially, I was excited when I seen who it was from. Could it be a message in my inbox. A new subscriber? Comment on a video?
No. The title displayed a much grimier, heart-dropping notification. It was regarding one of my videos (which was a Minecraft one) that I had recorded with my friends and the only people on the server maps were my friends. And this apparently breached their policy somehow. I watched and played backed the video, and discovered nothing particularly explicit and definitely wasn't the worst thing on my channel. Confused, I immediately requested that the strike was reviewed and possibly lifted by them.
After around a month and a bit of waiting, I finally get an e-mail regarding my request. Of course it was denied and an automated message was delivered to my inbox saying how I would be able to request this again in a months time. Needless to say I was less than amused with the reply I got after waiting quite a long time for one.
As of the present, the strike was finally lifted around a week ago and I gained full access to the partner features once more (some which I had never used before). The moral of this story is that you should be very careful with how you title your videos and who might watch them as you will find whiny little b***hes on the internet who will flag them (and on the rare occasion, succeed in putting you at a disadvantage).
Thanks for reading one of my late-night rants
