Hey guys, I watched a couple of your vids; I applaud the effort you put into writing and shooting these! My advice would be to shorten them; the length is just too long for the amount of jokes in the vids. This vid could have been cut down to under 2 minutes, and the neighbor vid could have been 45 seconds or less. For your next one, how about shooting for a 2:00 runtime? Would love to see it!

Thanks a lot man! That is often on of the main things we struggle with; keeping things compact and short. A 2:00 runtime would be quite challenging and we are recording tomorrow so we will try and do it :D!

Best thing to do is cut down on the unnecessary dialogue that doesn't add to the comedy and move the plotline forward. Look up the "S.C.R.A.P" method of comedy writing.

Okay, will do now. We often hardly plan out or write our sketches, its usually pure improvisation, so we should probably be writing stuff down tbh ahaa

Yes, you should absolutely be going from a script. I'm only saying this because you asked for help/advice: the fact that you're going without a script is showing, but it's good that you just recognized the need for a script from now on. One of the best books on comedy I've read is called "The Art Of The Laugh". Strongly recommend it, although it mostly deals with stand up comedy. It will get your creative juices flowing and you'll be very happy with the comedy you come up with!

Thanks a lot mate, we will definitely take on board and use your advice :)
