Yeah I think its just because YouTube has a changed a lot. Since there are more specific areas and genres now people are starting to use it as more of a media thing rather than just funny videos lol.

My youtube is from june 2012 and i have 505 subs. Ik try to go to 2000 end this year. Funny topic.. and someone with 70K subs.. omg!

I'm definitely not the one with the most subs. I'm at 76.5k right now gaining just over 500 per day. There's two members that I know of that have more than me. One just shy of 110k and the other has 138k. They're both growing a slower rate, so there's a chance I could pass them sometime this year.

I have almost 21k subs now but that said I get very poor views per video considering my sub number these days.
