Who here would love it if YT added Sub Categories?

For me personally I think it would be great and neat addition to filter videos.

Music>Cover>Popular Songs

or Music>Original>Rap

For other videos like Cooking it could be something like

Cooking>Italian>Lasagna
 
It seems like a logical idea, if just for the sake of organization and classification, but my guess is that the reason they haven't done it is because they don't feel there is enough of a need for it. Such a small percentage of viewers browse Youtube by category, and the algorithms work independent of the category listings to determine which videos are relevant to which videos for inclusion in suggested videos, search results, etc. I just think they don't feel it would have enough of an impact on the viewer experience to be worth the trouble. Just my guess though.
 
I could see this for gaming (game name/video type) or music (genre), but for the rest, it seems too precise. Why have categories when you can just search what you want? If I want to see lasagna videos, I won't do "Cooking>Italian>Lasagna". I'll search it.
