Hello,
I know sub-box problems have been rife for a while now on youtube but i wanted to share our problems and i know exactly why they are happening. So our story...
Our channels success can 95% be pinned to a series called "Clay Soldiers Civilisation Project (CSP for short)" its a minecraft series with a mod. (the details arnt important)
Now this series has attracted thousands, even hundreds of thousands to many of our videos and this is great.
BUT!
If we upload anything else that is not the CSP the views are slow, comments are down ect.
Now initially i thought this was due to people only loving us for one thing but it turns out that because most people only come to our channel for that... once we post something new it doesnt land on their homepage. "Recommended videos"
Many of our subs have admitted they miss our other series coz they have to press "my subscriber videos" then press "uploads only"
Its insane how many views we miss out on. I understand the recommended videos also works for our channel as we get many views from that! But when you cant please your subscriber base coz they arnt seeing videos whats the point in people subscribing in the 1st place?
i dont understand why youtube doesnt by default show "uploads only from subscribers" then have a big button that says "why not checkout this"? or what happened to finding videos through the related videos column... that always worked for me and got us plenty of views as well.
Anyone else have this issue that youtube is almost forcing you too typecast your channel and pretty much block content from your subs?
