When i record a video sometimes every few recordings(videos) always have audio delay for example when i speak the audios(my voice) comes about 3/5 seconds after and it is really annoying especially when you done a long video.

I started getting this problem couple weeks ago.

I tryed recording my new video 2 times tonight and each one had that stupid problem audio delay.
Now tommorow i am going have to re record the whole video again. :/

I really need some HELP! How to fix this stupid audio delay problem on my camera? and does anyone had this problem before? Should i take it back to the shop and get it replaced?

This is getting annoying.....

By the way my camera is Nikon CoolPix S9500.

I had the same issue with my Nikon coolpix L820, especially noticeable on longer clips.

Nikon released a firmware upgrade and that totally fixed the problem.

Check the Nikon support site and see if there is a later firmware version than in the camera.

Check the firmware version in the camera menu options.

The firmware upgrade is very easy to do, and just involves downloading and copying it onto your memory card and following the instructions.

I've had that issue before, and one thing that I noticed was that it happened more if I was very far away from the camera, and if I was shooting a clip more than 5 mins or so, it would tend to happen as well.

I had a look and there is a firmware upgrade for this problem.

Search on "Nikon coolpix S9500 firmware upgrade" to get to the Nikon support site.

Dowloaded the firmware update on my Windows 8 tablet and then plugged in my camera by USB and tried copying the Firmware update onto my camera and after i always getting this message saying "your device has stopped working or unable to copy the file to your camera"

Great......... How to copy the firmware update to my camera without getting that message?

You can't do it that way.

You have to take the memory card out of the camera and put it in a card reader (I have a small USB one).

Then you transfer the files onto the card that way, and then put the card back in the camera to complete the process.

Also, you must first format the card in camera.

Read the instructions on the process and you should have no problem.

I did i what you said took out the memory card from my camera and putted it in card reader in my laptop.
then i copy the firmware update to my memory card and after i took out my memory card out of the card reader and put into my camera.

After i turned on the camera it says "the memory card is write protected". and check the firmware update and it still says version of the firmware update, not telling me to update it.

What does "the memory card is write protected" i never had that message before and it still hasen't worked. :([DOUBLEPOST=1417724360,1417694743][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok sorted out the "The Memory Card is write protected" problem

But I am finding it very confusing at Step 3-3 done the steps before that i really don't know what am i post to do and i don't really get what they mean.

Can someone help me on this step and if possible explain the step 3-3 more easily than Nikon please?

Stupid YTTALK rules i can't post the link to the Nikon Support site about the firmware update... :/

This is more of a hassle than i thought.........

Do the following:

1. Click the download link below for your computer type.
2. Save the file to your desktop for easy location after the download completes.

3. Windows: Run the F-S9500-V11W.exe file to produce the folder labeled S9500 Update containing the folder labeled firmware.

Macintosh: Run the F-S9500-V11M.dmg file to produce the folder labeled S9500 Update containing the folder labeled firmware.

4. Using an SD memory card reader, copy the firmware folder (containing the firmware.bin file) to the Removable Disk: (Windows), or the No Name disk (Macintosh) representing your memory card for your S9500 camera. Do not copy into the DCIM folder, copy to the root of the drive.

5. After copying, be sure your camera batteries are new for this update. Insert the memory card into your S9500, view the Setup menu and choose Firmware Version. A firmware update dialog will be displayed. Select Yes and press the OK button.

6. Do not shut off or interrupt the update in any way until the display instructs you to. Failure to do so will result in the need for service. Follow the instructions on the camera screen, and confirm the firmware version after the update completes.

7. Confirm the new 1.1 firmware version in the Setup menu / Firmware version. Be sure you have no images saved on the memory card and format the memory card in the camera for normal use.
