Strategies for Gaming Channel Growth

For those with gaming channels who are really wanting to grow. It is actually quite simple, have fun and enjoy what you are doing. If you don't like making videos or are doing it just to be popular it is blatantly obvious. It needs to be your passion, you need to love doing it. I love making videos and have been doing so for a month and a half and have 268 Subscribers as of this moment. So heres some steps for this relatively simple process. (Gawd it bugs me being serious. o.o)

1. Have good quality visuals and sound.
2. Have fun, relax and be yourself.
3. Expose your self to the internet. (No not that way, put your pants back on. >.<)
4. Cater to your fan base. Omegle, Skype, whatever form of social media.
5. Involve your fan base. Bros, Audience, Nation, everyone has a way of getting that 1 on 1 connection.
6. Don't try to become famous, (Odds are you won't, so don't get your hopes up,)

So.... Yeah that sums it up. o.o
Whoa shiny things and what not...

I'm going to give it a try, but I think it's harder if you don't do commentary. People who do commentary really have a fan base quick. Still going to give it a try.

It defiantly is, because there is no personality. Just gameplay. Try doing commentaries. What have you got to lose?

My self respect, my 1000 subs, my friends, my small fan base, my channel, my partnership and ofcourse my soul.

Lmfao I laughed at the my soul part. But IMO theres thousands and thousands of people that do gaming channels. What can I do to make my channel stick out, and for me it is my personality. I apply that to the videos to the point where I say. "People come for the game, but stay for the personality." But in the end do what you enjoy, if it makes you happy then screw what other people think.

Indeed that's what makes me happy. Screw other people :D But already are using 5 out of 6 points you said and I think that's why I already got 1000 subs so far. So I think your 6 points are 6 really good points. The only thing I don't do is Expose your self to the internet. (No not that way, put your pants back on. >.<), but that's where the hard point is, 1 stupid commentary can make or break you, so be carefull with that.

this was really quite straight foward which is very helpful and simple to read!
