So im thinking about doing daily vlogs on my second channel and just wanted to know what the best camera to be do it with. I was looking at the canon sx280 hs and the canon s110.

Does anyone know of any better options, bare in mind i want it small, compact and light because its a pain in the a** carrying it around all day. Also something thats really east to just pull out and start shooting straight away.

Canon Powershot S95.
Fantastic lens - slightly larger then others in the range - which means much better in low light conditions.

Thats the one I'd go for anyways ;)

I just bought the Canon Elph 300hs. I have tried multiple cameras but I always end up going back to this one. It's beautiful quality, light weight, 1080p, different shooting modes, even slow motion. I bought one new in box off amazon for a 100 dollars as well! They are sessy.

For Vlogging i would recommend or more likely say that you need something with a wide lens!

I have seen some people use Go pro hero 3 for vlogging but the voice quality could be better.

Bear in mind you also have the option to use a GoPro with an external mic - so a lapel mic would work great, for instance.
The GoPro's arent the cheapest of cameras out there though - I have 2 of them myself and they do set you back a fair bit in comparison to a compact.

I'm going to attempt to win a go pro on younow this month, and for daily vlogging I think it would fish eye the image just a bit too much for my liking so I would much rather go for a different compact camera. I have some good ideas for go pro stuff later down the line but it's more specific shots and specific videos not so much a daily vlog[DOUBLEPOST=1380701977,1380701603][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ill probably go with the s110 then, it's the newer upgraded version to the s95 and is currently on sale for £190 cheaper then the s95. This whole series of cameras has been highly recommended by the majority of daily vloggers anyway so I know ill be getting something that does the trick.

The GoPro can record in a medium or narrow field of view as well, so eliminated Fish-eye, or you can remove it in your editor also - although I understand where you're coming from. Probably not the ideal camera for vlogging.
