Starting out...

Make an introductory video! Introduce yourself to your future viewers and let them know what they can expect form you. Have an idea of what you want people's first impresiion of you to be. It will be a long time before you get a big audience, just focus on constantly improving your quality.
 
Maybe cool isn't the right word, because I've seen some that weren't necessarily cool but they held my attention. So just make sure you grab the viewer's attention. Cut out and silent parts in the video, something should always be going on, and the same thing should not be going on for more than 20 seconds

Ive been asking my self his same question! and this is a very nice idea in which I will try and do so myself, thanks for the tip :D
 
Upload something with a catchy title (not that I ever do), this'll be searched more than a longer title, e.g; "introductory video to my gaming and tv show channel".

Also, upload something like a tag video - these are constantly being searched.
