SPOTV Content ID Claim

XiaoK

I Love YTtalk
This claim ID really made me frustrated, how can a non related party claim a video which is not produce from them or developed from them?

SPOTV is claiming Dota 2 Ti4 video scene, we all know Dota 2 is under Valve Corp, but Valve already mentioned that we can monetized our video at Youtube at non commercial usage. Furthermore SPOTV had nothing to related on the effort of The International 4 event.

Is this a mistake? or they really can do so?

I would say they likely accidentally claimed one of their partner's videos for Content ID (this is very easy to do).

I suggest you just dispute it, there was a guy here earlier with the same issue with the same claimant.

understood, and completely agreed to what you said, will try on that one, but time on processing the dispute is really killing a youtubers:crying:

Unfortunately the dispute time is up to the claimant and based on the amount of claims they're getting that could be a while.

You will have to hope they are working this weekend :) After 30 days it will drop automatically but if it was a mistake and I believe it was, they will likely be trying to fix the issue in good time.
Hopefully the language barrier does not turn out to be an issue.

thanks for the info, will try to update to one of the similiar thread owner if anything goes correct

I've got the same issue! this is just so irritating and stupid. Youtubes content ID software needs a fix. If you look at the claim screenshot it says MVP Phoenix vs Liquid but the game I uploaded is actually Invictus Gaming vs Newbee, so YES its a FAKE copyright claim, my video does not even have any Korean content in it for god sake. Just dispute it. All my videos have got MVP Phoenix vs Liquid claim. By the way.. I spent an hour on SPOTV website, their youtube and their facebook page i cant find any mention of "Loud Communications" its just (SPOTV games) so I am not even sure if its SPOTV claiming or someone pretending to be SPOTV. I might drop in a mail to SPOTV later today.
