Sony Vegas help...

Accomplish

Hello Everyone, I want to begin making youtube videos for League of Legends but for some reason when I do some video quality tests, it just isn't the best quality after rendering. I have read many posts but I still cant seem to figure out my problems. I use FRAPS to record and Sony Vegas to edit so I was wondering If anyone thats pretty good with this stuff could maybe use TeamView or something to that effect to SHOW me, instead of telling me. I feel that would be a lot easier. Im sure its an easy mistake I am making but I just cant seem to figure it out. (Kinda clueless when it comes to the render settings, etc.) Thanks guys!

When you render out a video from Vegas, there are many options to set quality and such, like setting the Sharpness (1-100), mbps, overall quality, smoothness, etc. This is all found in the more modern/recent versions. I use Vegas 11. I'm not too sure about the older versions (7.0, 8.0, etc).

If i would have to guess, I don't think that's the problem. Would you be able to help further?

Can be difficult to get the right results at first, also its hard to achieve perfection through rendering since its all about compressing the video down into a usable size so quality has to be sacrificed. (Think about it - Fraps records in GB's and we need it into MB's)

For games i find Main-concept (mp4 or mpeg2) to be good presets select either 720 or 1080. Now customize it and check what the Bit-rate is set to.
The higher the better but larger the file so you could easily get away with anything from 8,000 to 20,000 depending on your internet speeds.

Try this unless you already have and see if it is any good?
Unfortunately i don't have team speak but if i can help you further let me know.

Ill try that! Thanks man

If you'd like, I could give you my render settings. I only do an output to 720p but it's easy to do 1080p too. :3

That would be really great! And does it matter about the Properties, like the settings when i first start vegas up? I'm unsure about what those should be as well. But YES, that would be a huge help.

When you start a new project, it's good to have a preview you like. When you render, it'll make no difference however. Add me on Skype & I'll talk you through it.
