Sony vegas audio cuts out after a few seconds

After a few seconds (usually 5-15 seconds) the audio cuts out completely on Sony Vegas Pro 11. Also, for the few seconds in does work it is incredibly out of sync. When I use the video clip any other time it works, just not in Sony Vegas. Im running windows 7 x32 bit. Any help is appreciated (yes i have reinstalled it)
