Sony Vegas 12 Problems

I've Got It
Okay so idk what the hell is going on with my vegas but im editing a 9 minute long video into 30 seconds and whenever I render it, its only like 3 to 5 seconds long and idk why its doing it when its supposed to be 30 seconds like i edited it. I need help pronto, so if anyone could help me on this, I will love you forever.

Check above the top track for a grey bar with yellow triangles on either side, right click this and select Set to project selection or something like that. It should then expand to fit your video and render it all.

Tell me if it doesn't work :)

Have you highlighted a part of the video and then when going to render ticked, only render loop region? This could be why.

As the others, said the loop region is just above the time line, if that is highlight some of the video it will only render that, to get rid of it simply just hold the triangles and pull them to the start of the video, do that with both triangles :) hope this helped

Contact support of Vegas Pro and ask them :p
Or download and install 11. I used 12 but for some reason it crashed alot.

Have you restarted vegas since working on your project?

Usually my videos will only render out to like 20 seconds on a 5 minute video if I don't restart vegas first after working on something. I also have to restart it if I choose a new save destination for the render file.

Not sure why, but I haven't put too much effort into investigating it since restarting vegas always solves the issue for me.

Did you guys update your software? :D Update it first then try rendering. and yep, what these guys keep telling you. you can double click the timeline so it will be highlighted.

you just need to make sure you've highlighted the part of the video you want to render. This highlighter area is called the "work area" if you need to google how to highlight it :) there is no need to do an update or anything.

You have to make sure the rendering loop is over the whole part of the video you want rendered , hence use shift and tab and the direction keys .
