can i use it to edit a montage? does it have enough effects ?
i have the newblue effects installed on it...
but i still wanna see after effects so...

thank you guys for helping me out
 
I have it and it has enough effect to edit my videos, i don't much special though.
I think it should be good
 
AAE has more effects but I'd say Sony is more simple and has a decent amount effects
 
I have sony vegas pro 9, I also had 11 but I'm more used to 9 (not many differences anyways)

I used it to edit a lot of gaming montages, and I use it for my real life videos too. It has a lot of simple effects but if you use them right it can be effective. A lot of people I know use it to make montages, some had after effects as well...but all in all vegas does a good job. Besides, you don't want to overedit your montages anyways
 
Sony Vegas Pro 11 is a happy medium of being able to create something beautiful without ripping your hair out during the learning curve. AAE is def the better end game choice for flexibility but I think Vegas works fine for 99% of people doing montages.
 
Sony vegas is good choice for a begginer and for everyone. I create videos about 1 year or more and all the time i used sony vegas. Later i started using sony vegas + adobe after effects. Both are great.
