Sony/ATV publishing confirms Cover songs are okay

I heard back from Sean Melia from Sony/ATV. He works in the license department and he emailed me to tell me that YouTube pays Sony/ATV a sync license whenever a song is claimed by them.

You can email Sean as well if the video does not get claimed and he will claim for you.
