There are many libraries like that, Bryce; just Google "royalty-free music". There is Audioblocks, Premiumbeat, Shockwave Sound (I have compositions listed with SS for licensing); plus most of the Royalty Free video clip sites have a music licensing section to them.

you must have misunderstood. This site lets you pay a license for mainstream artists. Lady Gaga, etc are on there.[DOUBLEPOST=1464715707,1464653290][/DOUBLEPOST]Just heard back from song freedom you can license the use of a commercial recording from the likes of lady Gaga and several billboard hot 100 singers. 60 dollars for personal use with no ads.[DOUBLEPOST=1464725144][/DOUBLEPOST]I even found an article about this as well. It's a cheap way to use pop songs without paying thousands

Yeah, cool, but it's 60usd per single use or video, so not really a viable option for smaller YouTubers.

It looks like what this mainly does is it turns music that would normally requires a royalty (that is, the artist takes your monetization) into royalty-free music by charging a one-time price. That's definitely a very neat concept!

Ahhh, I did misunderstand! Note however, that personal use means you cannot monetize any of the videos you make, even after paying that 60 dollar fee. You should also check this company's background very carefully with the involved record labels; you might find that the deals they say they have are non-existent, or at least, not exactly as advertised?

@CousinEd I'm what would be considered a "smaller YouTube channel", at less than 5000 subscribers; and I've been known to pay up to $259.95 for royalty-free commercial licensing. I'd therefore say what is a "non-viable option" for a smaller YouTuber is quite subjective.

It definitely looks like this site has variable pricing based on use case, Some songs show up as available for things like weddings or personal projects, but licenses aren't available (or they have to be negotiated custom) for commercial projects...It didn't seem like there was an easy "this song will be used on a youtube channel",selection, however.

My apologies, I meant for "most" smaller YouTubers.
