(The following is in defense of new members who are honestly trying to learn and improve upon their channel. I couldn't care less about the folks who only use YTtalk to disguise "questions" as attempts to gain subscribers)
I think you are going to have a hard time finding anyone just starting out on YouTube not interested in their subscriber count. As for the repetitive post. It comes with the territory. YTtalk, as best I can tell, is THE forum for new and upcoming YouTubers. So it makes sense that with every new member (10 alone yesterday) you are going to get a lot of the same questions. It's rare to find folks on ANY forum who make good use of the search feature (or even read stickied post for heavens sake)
I'm sure if we went back far enough in our post histories, each of us could find something that would embarrass us.
And let's be honest, we are ALL here trying to get noticed. I'm a huge fan of community but even I signed up hoping to get some exposure. I wouldn't bet money on that, but I would say that most folks who say otherwise are lying to someone (us and/or themselves) The good news is that signing up here on a quest to become "YouTube famous" results in a lot of us making real connections with folks and forming friendships that will hopefully last some time.
I'm all for a healthy vent every now and then, but let's be careful not to start separating YTtalk into clicks like we did back in high school. It was a s****y experience then, and it is a s****y experience now.
