Someone unsubbed (Advise on how to deal with it)

Just recently someone unsubbed my channel, am I heartbroken? OF COURSE!......not. People change and your content changes, at times you just grow apart and the person who once thought your content was great now has lost interest. Is this something to get butt hurt over? I don't think so I am okay with someone unsubbing from my channel because in reality it is the views that matter in the end. If they aren't interested in my content they likely aren't consistantly watching it and thus aren't a viewer anyways. This all kind of goes back to creating a FanBase OVER a SubBase. It is vital to have fans that love your stuff if they unsub it just means they aren't a fan which eh do you really want someone you doesn't like you watching your videos anyways?

NOW a slight disclaimer, if you make a major change to your channel and there is a significant amount of people that unsub, I would look at maybe seeing what the change was, if you personally liked the change, and if losing subs over said change is worth it.

Good practice is to constantly review your channel and pay attention to the direction you are going, having a clear vision of what you want in a channel is key to staying on track. If you go a direction that gets an undesired result and if bothers you enough change directions. Remember Youtube for most of us is about entertaining and interacting with other people, as the old saying goes "The Customer is always right."

These are all great points. I know a lot of YouTubers who freak out if they lose a subscriber. I take your approach - if they didn't like watching my videos, they probably wouldn't have watched them even if they had stayed subscribed (wow, that sounds like bad grammar, but I'm too tired and it's too late for me to tell if it is or not! :p).

Exactly! If they aren't watching anyways why are they subbed? I mean its nice to have subscribers but I want subscribers that constantly comment and enjoy my videos. Which is something I believe I have acquired through Yttalk :)

yeah i feel you man ive had quite a bit of people unsubscribe to me about 30 something (I think) and I didnt really let it get me down.If anything it motivated me to make my content a lot more interesting and entertaining. As my content progressively gets better I dont have many people unsubscribe anymore.

That's awesome! And yeah each of my vlogs, skits, and music videos I always seek to make them better if I can :)

Man you sing with soul. Wish I could sing like you and very impressive and inspiring that it is your own composition. I have subscribed to your channel and more power to you my friend.
