Some kid sings for 2 secs in my video, would that be a problem

I Love YTtalk
was livestreaming and some kid started singing a song (only 2 seconds) and now I think that could be copyright.

It was only 2 seconds and the artist can't prove that the lyrics were from his song.

What do you think?

Technically if its copyrighted then its copyrighted, but it was sung and was barely 2 seconds so the odds of this getting you in trouble is minimal, but don't hold me to this because, again, although it may never be discovered the chance is still there.

I might try and cut out a tiny bit of it so the song is not recognizable or at least small enough that it can never be proven to be a particular song.

Agreed, the song has to have a recognizable beat, in Toby turners vlogs sometimes a copyrighted song might play in the backgorund for like ten secounds and it doesn't get taken down. So that should be fine.

wait... so you can't even sing a fuckin song on youtube? And I don't mean with the music, just singing normally, acapella style???? Youtube is overrun with people singing and doing karaoke versions of their favorite songs and whatnot. How does that work?

They did not monetize it. In other words, they're not making money off of it.
