Solo Minecraft Videos VS Collabs

I wouldn't define the quality of a video based of whether it's 1 person or 500 people, it's all down to how interesting/entertaining you can make the video. I would very much prefer watch a person doing their "First Night" in Minecraft with a catching commentary than watch 2 people say 5 words throughout a 15 minute Survival Games video.

^ What RedFox said. The other thing I'll add is that regardless though, collaborations have their own advantage, namely that you can share each others subscriber bases. Say you each have 100 subscribers, or 1000 subscribers, well if you feature the collabs on both channels and provide links to each others channels, a whole bunch of your subscribers will now also subscribe to your friend, and a whole bunch of his/hers to you. So it's an easy way to quickly gain a whole lot more subscribers who'll enjoy your content.

Another benefit of collaborations is that the commentary is less talking to the audience and more talking to the other player about the game. If you're confident in your solo commentary, then this isn't a huge issue, but if you're not, this may help build your confidence.
