Hi!

Software i am looking for
  1. Screen recorder
  2. Video Editor
  3. Some other stuff that is good for recording
Some features it can should have please
  1. FREE software
  2. GOOD software
  3. Area/Region selector(Choose the area or screen you record)
I'm a youtube that usually records on a PC, i have alot of my software on that, but atm i'm using a mac.

I use Screenflow to record (screen capture) and I edit in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. If you are looking for free software, Imovie will probably be the best thing you can find for editing (it is horrible, but free). You may be able to find some screen capture software on the App Store for free, but most of them are horrible. Screenflow works great, but it is somewhat pricey. There is also a free screen capture software called WeGame. It is horribly confusing to use, but the result looks much better than any of the free ones on the App Store. :)

iMovie is free, and I actually think it is very good, depending on what you need to edit it can be pretty powerful. Many of the big YouTuber still use iMovie to knock their videos together!

Otherwise, if you are looking for other free software thats good, then thats difficult.
I'd recommend investing a bit since the quality jump in your videos can be pretty drastic when you have more editing options and features at your disposal.

For screen capturing, Quicktime which comes with the mac should be fine, also iMovie is more than good enough to edit vlogs :D

When starting out on youtube iMovie worked the absolute best. It's free, comes with a mac, and has a great interface. iMovie is almost like a free version of FCP. As far as the screen recorder, I don't have any advice, sorry!

The best Editor is Final Cut Pro X,
You can always get a torrent

I use the screen capture device inside of quicktime. It works well and does exactly as it says it's supposed to do. As far as video editor, iMovie is a good place to start. There are advanced features that are missing, but as far as basic editing goes, it will work. As far as other stuff for recording, I tend to scroll though the "Videos - Free" section on the Mac Appstore and I occasionally will find something that I like there.
