for my uploads I used to use "Annotations" for this but now I see you can only create a link to a video, a link to a channel , a subscription link, playlist and fundraising link.

is there something I'm missing ? I would really like to add a "Share on facebook" link on the video itself as no average watcher ever clicks the "Share" button underneath the video because he doesn't see it or understands it will show him a facebook share button if he clicks it.

why do you think they ask so many questions that are answered in the video description ?
same reason.
 
I like that idea very much, it would make sharing so much more accessible. I wouldnt mind seeing links to external sites too but I doubt that will ever happen and in some ways I would prefer things as they are.
 
Hm, one way to encourage the viewers who views my content is to tell them if they really enjoy the video or want to support me blah blah. I just tell them at the end and ask them to share my video on their Facebook etc.
 
Why don't you mention clicking on the share button and sharing with Facebook in the video? It'd be like a >10 second jumpcut ^.^

Makes sense to me. Why make them read it when tou can just tell them. You don't want to drone on and on forever though.
