So anyone else ever have difficulty coming up with new series ideas for their channel?

It's like I'll ponder an idea for ages want to do it and then decide it isn't worth my time in the end. In terms of overall views I mean ofcourse.

Anyone else have issues like this? Or is it just me?

I actually have the opposite problem; far more ideas than I have time for!

In terms of selecting ideas, I don't really go for what I think will draw in views; I go for what interests me because I need to enjoy what I'm doing and there is always someone interested in the same thing. I also think it comes across in videos when someone isn't that into their content.

Once I have a pool of ideas I like, then I'll prioritise by things like potential interest.

I'm pretty okay with ideas, though sometimes I procrastinate on executing them so that I'm recording/editing/uploading right at the last minute. My new goal is to pre-record a nice bit of time ahead, so that I don't have to constantly be recording the thing that will be uploaded the next morning.
 
I have the same issue at times. Sometimes I turn them into low urgency projects, so I work on them when I feel to, but without expecting much from them

Well this is odd I am entering my YouTube username and it won't work. Am I doing something wrong?

You've got to put in the characters at the end of your channel link, so youtube.com/channel/(characters that you copy+ paste)

ANNNNNND ITS DONE. Cheers for that seems they changed how it used to work (I've been inactive for a very long time)
 
Yep I went through so many ideas for a series before I got an idea for a series that I liked which is the project I'm currently working on. After I ended my old show I took a few years off. In 2014 I started thinking of an idea for a new series but didn't really like any of them.

There was one show where we did a pilot episode but quickly scrapped the show and channel after that because we didn't like it.

Finally this past December is when I came up with an idea I thought was good and we debuted the first episode last week.

You gotta make sure you like the topic and ideas that you come up with otherwise YouTube will just feel like work.
