What headset do you use? There are some that record audio even when they are turned off. That same thing happened to me and I didn't turn on my headset but it recorded the audio anyway. Also, what recorder do you use? It may have a different impact on different recorders.

lol I've never forgotten anything. I always prepare and make sure first.
BUT what often happened is when my recording crashes and I lose everything, ending up with either just the image being recorded, or the sound, or my face.
