Hey, d00ds, Spectral here. I've been recording lately, but my audio is really low for some reason. I turned my gain all the way up, but I suspect it may have something to do with my sound card...

Suggestions?

Is it not USB?

It is, that's why I suspect it's an issue with my sound card. I have an ASUS Xonar DG, and it doesn't have a USB port, so I have to plug it into the front of my computer. I'm thinking it's my sound card like disabling it or something, because I can't plug in my headsets anywhere but in the sound card, and I'm not sure how it works for microphones.

If it's USB, I don't think it would use your audio card...

Darn. This really sucks, because my audio is clear, just really quiet. Due to this, I am unable to add music to my video without drowning out half my voice.

Use "Amplify" in Audacity and then when you edit the video lower the music volume.

I can't figure out how to separate my audio from my video using Movie Maker.

I don't know if you're using "windows movie maker" or "windows live movie maker" but if you're using live then just click on the green audio to select audio and click the video to select the video but if you mean that you're using a program such as fraps to record both the game audio AND your voice then there is no real way to splt the two up this would also explain why your audio is lower since fraps makes your voice lower then the game hoped it helped possibly im not sure what your situation is so I gave some possible issues
