Simple plot for light trail animation

What are some ideas for a light trail stop-motion. If you don't know what that is, it'd basically be a series of these types of pictures in the form of an animation:


So I need a really simple plot line to some nice music. Barely even has to be a story. As a sort of guideline just think of a plot that has to do with simple shapes, maybe? I'd appreciate help. Any original plots I will credit, of course.

Make the light trail come in as a jumbled ball of light, then have it start to form recognizable shapes and change color. At some point have it split and do something like one of them makes a circle and the other one rotates through it in ball of energy form, then have them collapse together again. You've seen this before right?

I actually haven't seen that video! I'm surprised considering David Firth did it. But that's a neat idea, thank you.

My friend was stoned out of his mind years ago and I played that video on 3 different screens with about a 1 second difference. The first screen was on the left and it was muted... I think I almost exploded his brain, he was like "DUDE WTF! I feel like I'm in a mind altering time warp!" Then he said he had to use the bathroom. My other buddy starting busting up laughing about a minute later, apparently my friend was in my bedroom walking around in circles looking like he was having a panic attack lol. You should try doing the offset video thing I did to him, it's pretty trippy if you do it right.
