Should you use intros for short vlogs and video clips

I have a short intro after a brief setup on my vlogs. I change the music and the singing every week to fit the theme. So far, not a lot of response. I took a year off after I made partner, and I am trying to rebuild my audience.
 
Personally, for a lot of stuff I wouldn't or if you really want to, do not do it STRAIGHT OFF THE BAT. You wanna captivate your audience as much/quickly as possible.

We do this for some of our videos and it helps. Others we do not cause they are short flicks or sketches and we also do stuff offline and present them somewhere, so it's got more of a "movie" feel.
 
Currently I don't have an intro for my videos, I have someone making me one now, But I believe they help. It somewhat Brands your channel. Also outros help out a lot.

I've seen lately a lot of people going overboard with intros that are waaaay too long for nothing. I understand BRANDING, but sometimes it is overkill or unnessessary <---(no idea how to spell that word!)

Yea I understand where your coming from, I have seen some crazy ones, I like simple and quick. I think those are best intros.
