Should My Fans Make My Videos?!?!

SORRY FOR BEING LONG! PLEASE HELP ME! GAAAAH :D I mean :(

Hi, I've been making videos since the start of 2014, and I'm not gonna lie, it's been really fun!

Buuuuuuuuut, the thing is, a lot of my fans are people I see almost everyday in real life. (school friends)
So when I see them, they always say, "Do this for a video! Do that for a video!" etc.
So now, I have a little over 100 subscribers, and I know it's not much compared to some YouTubers but it's a lot to me, so now I feel a little more pressure to make better videos.
I try to make good videos, but is good the same as what the fans want?
Because I worry that if I just make a video about what I want to make it about, fans might not like it.
I feel like I have to make videos about something relevant and current, like if it was Easter, make a video about Easter, but a lot of the time I just have no ideas for videos like that.
I know it is important to listen to my fans, but how much is too much?

So my question is...
Should I make videos about things my fans tell me to make?
Or make videos about things I want to make?

(I know it is a general question, but any help to my actual situation would be much appreciated)

Thanks for reading :)

I think it would be cool if you listened to them (what they would like to see), maybe make a poll about it on your social media sites (i.e Facebook) to see which idea is the one that most of your fans prefer. On the other hand, you're not obligated to make videos based on those ideas, they are just there to help you out - and I'm sure that if they have subscribed to you, they will most likely watch your videos because they like you. :)

You should listen to them, but only if they actually give you a good suggestion. Don't just blindly try anything anyone says. However, always consider what advice you get, because sometimes it might actually be worth it. Just do whatever you feel like, but keep an open mind when people suggest things.

As what the other people who commented in this thread said. You should listen to them but only take what you think will be good and what you feel comfortable doing. I show my family and friends my animations and they give me idea after idea. And 9/10 I only listen to a few. However, listening to fans also helps you out. It shows them that you are actually taking what they are asking for and doing it. Most popular Youtubers don't reply or even notice comments that us little people make. I say most. Not all. But do what you think is good. Otherwise other people will pretty much run your channel and you don't want that. Hope I helped! :D

Wow thanks guys :)
All of that was really helpful :D
I will definitely try and listen to them.
But I will remember that sometimes I have to just use my own ideas too.

Thanks for you help :)
Really appreciate it :D
Anyone else who wants to reply to this thread is welcome to :)
More advice is very welcome :D

Have an awesome day/night :)

Do it to the extend that you still have fun doing it. There is no point in making a video you don't want to make just because your friends ask you to.

It's like being a DJ. If your crowd wants you to play Shakira and you hate Shakira, don't play it. If your crowd wants you to play Shakira and you f*****g love Shakira, do it.

Some viewers appreciate if you tell them why you can't use their idea, rather than just ignoring them. That way they know you gave it some thought.

I would say make the videos you want to make. You are at the stage when you define what type of videos you make. You will be much happier with yourself and you can enjoy your own videos. Just wait till you become popular and you have to keep your fans happy

Really awesome and helpful replies :)
Thanks everyone, really appreciate it :D
