Should I use the stabilizing function of youtube?

My latest videos are very shaky. I wonder if this stabilizing function distorts my videos, and if yes if I can make it reverse.
 
It applies a bit of distortion, yes, I'd use it on the source files rather than the final video, so that various additional graphics doesn't get messed up.
