Should I use my real name for my channel?

Hey everyone!

I am about to start a graphic/web design channel. This channel will feature, how to, tips, tricks, general information, speed art, and pretty much everything else that makes a channel. I really want to teach people things, but the channel is not 100% about learning.

I was going to use my real name for the channel, but I don't know. Would it really be a good idea to use my name? Do people do that often for things other than vlog channels? It seems that any design related name I come up with, there is already a channel (or multiple channels) with that name. Sometimes it is only one channel that hasn't been active in over a year and they only have like 5 videos, but still.

My online name is Zethnos. I use it in almost everything I do online, but I also have a video game channel and a twitch stream called Zethnos Gaming. Should I go with Zethnos Design or something similar you think? Or would that turn some people away from the channel?

What do you guys think? Use my name, use my online name, or keep trying to come up with another one?

You can still use your real name when introducing yourself in your videos like "Hey it's Mike here, from Aerated Designs bringing you the latest tips in Photoshop" Sort of like Andrew Kramer from Video Copilot.

People will know your name and can possibly connect with you on a personal level, but for the sake of branding, an alternative name would serve you best. So people will know where to find their content and the man/woman behind it.

Yeah, I just am not sure if it would be good for the channel branding though to use my name. I want it to be a semi-professional-ish channel so I am trying to avoid gamer sounding names hahaha.

I go with my internet name.

Grgak sounds so awkward and it fits my character.

but I think Mark is not that awkward of a name so Grgak stuck

Just try think of a short catchy name that is your first name and what you are going to post combined together

Well it depends if you want people to know about your channel. Like if you don't want your real life friends to know about it then make up a name. but if you don't really care just do it as the great Shia said.

Thanks everyone. I am still very undecided lol.[DOUBLEPOST=1453701439,1453676395][/DOUBLEPOST]After a lot of brain storming, I think I may have settled on something. I may just call it LCEM Design. LCEM Graphics is the name of my business, so I might just change graphics to design and do that. LCEM are my initials lol.
