Should I try gaming videos??

I love gaming, but I don't have a channel for it.
My videos are mainly just comedy/vlogs . . etc, but I've had an HDPVR for two years now and want to put it to use.
The thing is I have an Xbox 360. Many viewers want to see next gen console gaming. So should I even try it? How would I gain viewers?
My plan is to make NBA 2k14 videos, Call of Duty, and any other new game. :D

If it's something you want to do, than of course you should do it! However, know that creating a successful gaming channel isn't easy, as there are many others doing the same thing and a lot of them quite popular already as well. It'll be hard not having a system capable of playing the latest games, as people obviously want the newest content, so I suggest getting/upgrading a PC (now cheaper than new-gen systems) at some point, if you have plans to do this for some time. Good luck!

Don't expect a whole lot of success, and have fun with it, and I think it'll be good! Go for it!

That's not entirely true. Yes maybe they search for gameplay of next gen consoles to see how it looks, but if you're a good commentator they will also watch your Xbox360 stuff. I'm not a good commentator, but my classic game videos from Ps1 games etc are the best videos watched on my channel. For every game there is an audience, you just need to try your best to speak to the right audience :)

Youtube is an open ground for people to try new creative things. From art, to music, to gaming, to acting, to vlogging, etc. If you want to, go for it :-) Just be aware you will have to try and do something that stands out to get noticed. There are a loooooooooooooooooooooot of let's players out there already :p

I'm going to move this to the Script, Script Writing, Video Ideas & Planning section of the forum....
I think if it's something you enjoy doing, then why not? :) Go for it.
