i got to 120 subs with mostly 30 second short clip edits of videos (memes)
and im thinking of making longer videos where i actually talk and interact with people, should i do it?
I hate listening to myself talk and so I struggle with this. I make hiking videos - some of them I just film vistas and add some music on top. Others I limit the music and I'm just jabbering on like an idiot. Sweet lord, sometimes I even sing stupid songs. So my videos run the gamut.
Even if my talking is goofy I think ultimately it helps break up the structure of the video. I'm a pretty weird guy so I hope to make the videos even weirder in the future.
It depends on the videos you create. Judging from your post, it seems like you create content that typically doesn't have any commentary involved. Take a look at what large channels in your niche do, and do what they do.
When you talk in your video, the YT algorithm gets additional information about your content to recommend it to your future viewers. Go ahead, definately!
