Should I Join a Newtowrk?

What are your thoughts about joining a network for non gaming channels? Giving up your ad sense to them doesn't look good especially if it's a lengthy time. Do the networks really help by promoting your channel (to websites)? How has your channel done after joining one, have you made more money?

I'm not a gaming channel. I am NOT earning more than when I was just with Adsense.

Networks do not do anything of importance to significantly promote your channel.

Not worth it. Especially with the whole "managed and affiliate" crap. Networks don't offer anything these days for how much revenue split they want.

Well if your with an awesome network this wont be the case.

I get more views now, so it's hard to tell if I made more with adsense... I probably did... I have to wait almost a year to get out of my Fullscreen contract because they convinced me to re-sign with them (damn it!). They tell me the apps should be worth the cut, but the only "app" I use is their music library. They also told me that "Partner Promotion" views came from them right before I signed and I was getting a decent amount of those views. Since I signed, I get almost none anymore, so I'm kind of p****d about that.

Why are SO many channels partnered then? It must be different for gaming channels right, dealing with copyright?

I don't know, there's always been a lot of debate as to whether or not it's better to be a part of a network or be a solo act you know? In my personal opinion, I'd rather be with Adsense and manage it myself then to put my information and trust into what is basically a group of strangers with a fairly loose promise.

Right, I mean 2 year contracts?!?! I don't trust anyone over a screen lol, just look at what happen to RWJ and Maker.
I'd also like to know what are the pros and cons of joining with a small vs big channel.

Click bomb protection.

Is that a big issue? That is when someone fraudulently spam clicks your adds?
