Should I create a partnership?

So I received an email today from BroadbandTV about exploring business opportunities. I am still relatively new to youtube so I haven't really looked in to partnerships or know much about them at all. So does anyone know anything about being partnered with BroadbandTV or the legitimacy of this email? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

What do you think a network partnership should do for you and why would you join one?

The email didn't promise anything, just asked if we may be interested in business opportunities. And those are my questions. What should I expect from a network partnership? As of now I just asked what they had to offer. I really don't know much about them at all or what they offer or what a good one would be.

Things you should expect from a partnership:

• A different and more informative YouTube toolkit
• Possibly more music licenses than YouTube currently offers
• A payment threshold lower than YouTube's $100 minimum
• Possibly more methods to be paid than Google offers (Paypal, etc.)

Important things they will often promise but you won't actually receive:

• Assistance in promoting or actively trying to grow your channel
• A personalized sales force focusing on getting you better paying ads

Additionally, expect it to cost you between 10-40% of your earnings.

Not too long ago, joining a network was much more appealing as there were certain things you could only do if you were partnered with one, but times have changed and the vast majority of what a network can offer you could be found for free (or typically less than the 10-40% fee).
