Should I change my channel layout and if so do i need a banner?

Hmmm, if you know how to use photoshop or Gimp, you can probably do a banner that looks good easely, but you need to know how to use one of the programs.
If you cant do it, just ask here on the forums, people will help you for sure

Resize with photoshop It's very easy. And if u don't know how. Type in google search : How to rezice image or picture

Go on youtube and search, one channel template, and download what is in the description, and then open it in your image editing program

Whenever I have it as the correct ratios it squishes the picture.

Yeah you should change to the new layout because youtube is going to force it, so if you might as well get used to it as early as possible.

It's inevitable, you might as well adjust to the new layout now instead of waited for it to be forced upon you.
